Art Gallery Reminder

We are going to the Art Gallery tomorrow (Tuesday 22nd)

All children will need to be at school ON TIME so we can catch the bus.

They will need their school bags, hats, lunch, a water bottle and shoes they can walk a long distance and play in.

Swimming

It was a great afternoon on Friday for Team Awa to have a swim.

Everyone who brought their togs got into the pool and had a chance to swim or begin to develop their confidence.

Remember all of Team Awa needs to bring their togs to school every Monday and Friday so we can swim as this is part of our curriculum. 

Toby's visit to Team Awa

On Tuesday Toby the kitten came to visit Team Awa. 

Sophie told us all about what he eats and where he sleeps and showed us some of his toys. 

We had a chance to pat Toby and wrote stories about him during story writing time.

Student-led Conferences

Just a quick reminder if you misplaced your student-led conferences notice we have included it above. 

Please note that students who have been here for less than six weeks do not need an interview but you can always come in so they can show you some of their learning displayed on the walls or in their books before school. 

During the student-led interviews students will be at desks with their books and learning that they want to show you. There will be multiple groups in the rooms and our teachers will move throughout the classrooms. 

When making a booking you can choose any of the Team Awa teachers as we will all be moving between the classrooms to help the children to share their learning.

Mainland Football

On Friday we learnt some football skills and played some games with Mainland Football.

Swimming - Term four 2016

 Team Awa is starting their swimming programme on Monday the 14^th of November. This is part of the school curriculum programme so ALL children MUST bring their togs and towel to school on Mondays and Fridays unless you have a valid, written, medical reason.

Please ensure you child’s belongings are all named including their togs, towel, goggles, uniform, socks, shoes and underwear and are put into a named swimming bag.

Diesel's visit to Team Awa

On Tuesday morning Miriana brought Diesel in to share during news time. The children enjoyed being able to see and pat Diesel if they chose to and asked some great questions about him like what he eats for breakfast - jam on toast.

In the afternoon we wrote stories about Diesel and used some great descriptive language about how fluffy and big he was.
