Team Awa has been learning about measurement. This week we have looked at our names and wiggly play-dough worms to see which is longest or shortest and widest or thinnest.
This week Team Awa students learnt that Jamiroquai had the longest name of all the children in our team and that Zoe and Eva shared the shortest names. You can come into the red room to see how each name measures up.While making long, short, wide and thin worms we learnt that if we worked together we could make an even longer worm by combining our play-dough and moving our boards closer together. We also learnt that if you make a worm too thin it might break.
Once we had finished comparing our worms length and width we made them into the first letter of our name. Some children even chose to make their entire name from worms.
