Awa's Awesome First Week

Team Awa has had an awesome first week back at school, getting to know the other students in our team and having some fun learning.

During the first week of school for 2018 Team Awa has been very busy getting to know Isleworth School and the other people in our team and school.

We have been practicing writing our names in different ways. With pens and crayons, as a puzzle which we took home, with chalk and even with play dough.

As we learn the routines of Team Awa we have been practicing sharing our resources, taking turns and tidying up after we finish using the equipment.

To help to beat the hot weather we had lots of fun with Team Waipuna in the school swimming pool, outside under a sprinkler and racing down a water-slide.

On Friday Charlotte and her son Samuel came to Team Awa to help us to re-pot some silverbeet and carrot seedlings. When they grow these plants will be used in our school's entry in the Oderings School Garden Show. Team Awa will be making more contributions to this garden during the term.
